Our Mission and Job Seeker Services

Founded in 1997, Joblink of Maryland, Inc. (“Joblink”) is a local nonprofit corporation headquartered in Baltimore whose mission is to facilitate employment opportunities within Maryland’s Jewish community. This is achieved through a constantly evolving network of corporate partners in the Baltimore-Washington area job market. Among the services Joblink provides are intake and assessment of job seekers, career coaching, interview preparation, resume feedback, and sponsoring employment related training workshops. Joblink has also produced numerous written materials on the job search process, job search websites, interview preparation, as well as resources specifically for those who have found employment to support their maintaining that employment.

Those served by the organization cover the entire spectrum of occupational areas and levels. Some clients have been chronically unemployed or underemployed and some are to become imminently unemployed. Others seek to enter the workforce for the first time or re-enter after an absence. Finally, some Joblink clients seek growth opportunities due to financial or professional reasons. Joblink staff meets with each client to assess his/her background, circumstances, and objectives.  Then, a customized 
plan towards those goals is formulated and executed as a partnership.

What makes Joblink unique is that it is well networked within the local corporate community. Furthermore, Joblink staff has a combined 35+ years of Human Resources experience. This has enabled the organization to gain access to job postings often before they are posted and make credible referrals to employers and recruiters.
